What “ATS-ready” means here. One thing we can actually show you: when applicant tracking software opens your file, the text comes out complete and in the right order. We prove it by pulling the text back out and showing you. Not “will pass”. Not “guaranteed”. Reads correctly, and here is the proof.

Twenty-two seconds. Watch the right-hand column, not the form. An empty résumé gets filled in, and that column answers the whole way down. Early on it is blunt — there is no name at the top, because most parsers take the first substantial line as the candidate's name and will happily take whatever is there instead. Later, a second link goes into the contact row and a risk appears the moment it does: four or more contact details share one line, with the failure mode named, which is a parser splitting on the wrong separator and gluing your phone number onto your location. Take the link back out and the flag goes. None of it is a grade; it is a short list of things that are true about the file. And when the list empties, it says so in exactly these words — nothing flagged is not a pass mark. It means none of the failure modes we can actually check are in this file.

Four things to know before you spend $89, not after:

You type your résumé in. Reading an existing PDF into a draft is not in this release, so the first half hour is retyping.
PDF and plain text come out. DOCX does not, yet. If a portal you are applying through demands a .docx, this release cannot hand you one.
One column, always. Two-column and “creative” layouts look better and parse worse, so they are not offered at all.
The rewriting runs on your own API key. Everything else — the editor, the exports, the parse-back, the checks, the term coverage — is deterministic and needs no key, no account and no connection.

We generate your PDF, pull the text back out of it, and show you what came out. If your phone number is being swallowed, that is not a prediction — it is a fact about the file, visible in ten seconds.

Terms from the posting

Paste the job description. You get the list of terms it uses and which ones are literally in your résumé. A count, not a percentage — and the method is printed on the screen so you can check it.

Named risks

Each flag says what could go wrong and why: a date a parser cannot read becomes an empty employment record, a broken address becomes an empty contact field. No grades, no marks out of ten.

There is no such thing as the ATS. Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo and SuccessFactors all parse differently, every employer configures them differently, and not one of them publishes a rubric. A number out of 100 asserts a standard that does not exist and predicts the behaviour of software nobody has seen. It is the most profitable fiction in this category, because it manufactures a fear and then sells you the cure.

So we ship three things that are checkable instead: what came back out of your file, which terms from a posting are literally in your résumé, and a named list of the parser failure modes your document is exposed to. You can verify every one of them yourself. That is the whole idea.

What this release does not do

Single-column layouts only. Two-column and “creative” templates look better and parse worse. If one is ever added it will ship next to its own parse-back showing the damage, never as the default.
PDF and plain text. Not DOCX yet. The PDF has a real, selectable text layer — never a picture of your résumé.
Standard PDF fonts, so the character set is limited. Characters outside it are flagged in the risk list rather than silently mangled. Embedding a subset font lifts this, and it is the next thing the exporter grows.
You type your résumé in; importing an existing PDF is not in this release. Neither is cover-letter writing, application tracking or LinkedIn import — each is a different product.
Browser only, on a desktop-sized screen. There is no Mac app and no mobile app, and neither is promised as part of the purchase. It works on a phone for checking; the editing is a desk job.
Your résumés live in this browser. Export them — the JSON button works with no account and no connection, from the lock screen too. Optional account sync is planned so a laptop change three years from now is not a loss; it is not in this release.
The licence check is the one thing that needs a network. Once we start charging, ATSReady confirms it and then runs offline for 14 days between checks. Stay offline longer and it asks you to reconnect once — lifetime owners included. Nothing is ever deleted when that happens.

Where is my ATS score?: There isn't one, and there never will be. There is no such thing as the ATS — Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS and Taleo parse differently, every employer configures them differently, and none publish a rubric. A number out of 100 implies a standard that does not exist. It exists to manufacture anxiety and then sell you the relief. We show you what actually came out of your file instead.
Does the AI write my résumé for me?: No, and it refuses to. It rephrases lines you wrote. If a suggestion introduces a number, a company, a tool or an acronym that was not in what you wrote, we block the one-click accept and show you exactly what it added. An invented metric is something you have to defend in an interview.
Do I need an API key?: Only for the rewriting tools, and the product is whole without them — the editor, the exports, the parse-back, the structural checks and the term coverage are all deterministic and need no key at all. For the rewriting you create a key at OpenAI, Anthropic or Google — it takes a few minutes — and you pay them directly, usually a few cents to rewrite a whole résumé. We never charge for AI, we never see your key, and we sell no credits at any price.
Why one payment and not a subscription?: Because a job hunt is episodic. You use a résumé tool hard for six weeks every few years, and the correct thing for you to do with a subscription is cancel it — which the vendor experiences as churn and answers with annual plans and cancellation friction. One payment is not a discount here, it is the honest shape of the transaction.
What happens to my résumés if I stop paying, or you disappear?: Nothing is trapped.
